trying the "découpage" technique

The roots of decoupage come run deep into the 17th century
when wealthy europeans imported hand painted furniture from Far East
and hired master painters to turn furnishings into works of art.
To meet the demand for the artisan pieces, craftsmen began hand-coloring
prints of leading artists and then cutting and pasting them on furniture
and topping with coats of lacquer to stimulate hand painted works.

I bought these iron chairs on IKEA and I had to painted them.. I don't appreciate black as you can see..
so.. there are 2 pink available, 1 "aqua blue" and 1 lilac.

"aqua" foot lamp (available)

This foot lamp is now available and it provides a very cozy atmosphere. it's painted in "aqua blue" and has some beads, glass buttons.

There were 2 iron towel racks from our grandmothers!
one was painted with a glossy blue and a touch of silver and this one is painted with an "old pink" and some white.

red dragon asian coffee tables

I just loved this colourfull "asian red dragon", so I had to paint something with it ;)

a bed becoming a sofa..

This was an old iron bed. The owners needed a sofa for their living room. it's hand painted with a colourfull dark pink and some white.

hand painted recycled wardrobe

I just love to paint and recycle old furniture!
this was an old wardrobe that I recycled. It is hand painted (pink and white), has some beautifull rosettes on the doors and it has a wax finishing. Not available, It's now in Portugal in a cottage.
